I really enjoyed the history of The Gardener hotel and was very grateful for Gable (receptionist) to gave me a guided tour and further details of the hotel's artifacts and stories. My room was very pleasant -- it felt like being in an old wild west saloon. The bed was comfy, the back out curtains effective and there were plenty of power points. I was grateful for the discount offer at the next door bar as i arrived late after a 36-hour journey and needed a drink! In the morning i was offered a nicely brewed coffee when I checked our for my flight back.

Quite expensive to get an Uber to from the airport. I got the bus back in the morning for US$1.50. I would have appreciated some shampoo in the shared bathroom. I had to use the soap I had in my wash-kit for my hair.

I liked the resort and enjoyed the pools. Everyone was showing Aloha. The restaurant food was excellent. The only thing I suggest is to add a deli of some type, where you can get things you may have forgotten. Or a candy bar etc. But I will be back again.

Everything was good. Not really any issues anywhere. Very happy with our stay.

Food was good for what was offered Overall space was great, though I wish there was at least a simple stove in the airstream. You can only cook over the fire.

Bed is a foam mattress on top of a simple metal frame. There is no real support whatsoever and we found ourselves sinking into the center of the bed. Couldn’t sleep solidly and had to sleep on the pullout couch the second night—very small but had enough support to sleep through the night. Every time we walked by the front desk, the staff looked stressed and overworked. Why is the check in person also refilling milk and serving food? We gave up on asking them a question several times because there was already a line and they looked too busy to deal with anything non critical. Not really what I’d expect for paying this much per night. Overall there was a lot of visual indicators of a luxury experience but being unable to sleep and spending time in the common area watching overworked staff is not very luxurious.

The room was clean and comfortable. The man who checked us in was very nice and accommodating. I thought the location was fine and felt safe.

I love how this property is a little out the way from everything. And there is a police station right next-door, which makes me feel safe.

It is a little far from all of the events that I would like to partake in in Sacramento, but it’s not too far away so everything is just right in that accord

Bathroom is so outdated. Sink & toilet too close together & toilet seat too close to the door. There was no Fridgerator. Couldn’t chill any drinks. Door was too close to elevator you can hear people conversations outside door waiting for elevator.
