- “Great location! The proprietors Olav and Brigitte were fantastic hosts. We rode our bikes on a terribly rainy day, and they assisted us with our baggage and even cleaning the bikes off too. The room was excellent - first class linens, and great bathroom products. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic too - we enjoyed a nice sampling of yogurts, meats and cheeses. We even got to sample several of the cheeses that Brigitte sells in her store. Arcen is a quaint beautiful little town, and La Dominette is right in the center. Wonderful restaurants are within a 50 meter or less walk. This is an outstanding B & B - one of the very best we’ve ever stayed in!!”

  This hotel is in a prime location for shopping, checking out new restaurants, and seeing the sights of Philadelphia. It's easily accessible to public transportation for getting around the city and is even walking distance from 30th Street Station for those coming in by train. The room also had blackout curtains that worked very well, which was a welcome addition. All the staff I spoke with were also extremely friendly and helpful.

  The room was extremely small. There was a queen size bed and enough room on every side to walk around it, and that was about it. I struggled to find any space to even store my small carry on suitcase. The walls were also fairly thin. I could hear my neighbor arguing on the phone in the morning and a kid down the hall crying. But hey, you get what you pay for.

  Bathtub drain was backed up, light took a little to turn on in the bathroom- had to flip the switches a few times to get it on. AC was a bit hot- blowing hotter mainly towards entrance of room.

  No one was at the front desk, they were on a long smoke break. It took 20 min before we were helped and able to check in. The air conditioner wiring looked questionable. The capped wires are just hanging out. We only have 4 channels to watch on the TV. When I called the front desk, they said that the maintenance guy had just left and didn'thave a way to fix it. Then they went to say that since the room was booked online, they couldn't move me to another room. They said they would leave a note for the morning manager about giving me a discount. When checking out, I asked the manager, they said there wasn't a note left for them and that they couldn't honor what they had told me the day before.

  The pool was closed which was a bummer because it's why I picked this hotel. Beds were very hard incredibly uncomfortable and there was a lump in my back. Also I slept at the foot of the bed practically right on top of the AC but I was still having hot flashes. I called the office to complain and was told they would let maintenance know but offered nothing else not even a sincere apology.
