We had the worst experience after booking this apartment for many years, despite all the positive reviews. From check-in to the promised refund that never came, it was a disaster. I contacted the host days in advance asking for clear check-in instructions since we had late arrivals. I was told instructions would only be sent on the day of arrival or the day before. That would have been fine if it was just an updated pin code, but instead it turned into a confusing scavenger hunt with Dropbox links and instructions to “contact when in elevator” (without a phone number provided). The host insisted check-in was between 3–6 pm and later claimed it was only at 3 pm. Completely unreasonable. I messaged the host before my 16-hour flight to request the phone number my parents needed to complete check-in. No response came until the next day—after we had already arrived at midnight with two exhausted toddlers and had to go elsewhere. The following day the host finally apologized and promised the apartment would be open. When I arrived at the agreed time, the door was locked. The host claimed he would arrive “in 2 minutes” but showed up almost an hour late, causing me to miss an appointment. Once inside, the problems continued: Bathroom tap leaking Toilet clogged Thermostat not in English, impossible to use Fire alarm broken TV remote not working Closet with someone’s fake nails inside!?! I immediately contacted the host. He apologized again, offered a refund for two nights, and said he would fix the issues. However, he sent maintenance into the apartment earlier than agreed, entering while we were away with our belongings inside. Despite multiple promises—including saying he would personally bring cash and later confirming a refund through Booking—nothing was ever refunded. Weeks later, still nothing. Now I am disputing this through Booking because I’ve lost all patience. The host wasted my time, caused extreme stress, and proved to be unreliable and dishonest.

Cleanliness could have been better. Dirty floors, toilet worked when it wanted to. Weird smell throughout hotel. Check in process took way too long.

When they said it was a no frills stay, they weren't kidding. It was awful. Stained carpets. Dirty shower. Worst coffee I've ever tasted. Trying to take a warm shower was a joke. The room was freezing with only a small space heater to heat the room, which is extremely dangerous.
