I loved everything about this hotel including the staff. As someone whom traveled alone I felt save and welcome. And loved that this hotel offers free shuttle services. The hospitality and the free happy hour with snacks available was amazing. I truly appreciate it and enjoyed myself.I will forever make this hotel my destination every time I visit the city. Good location, walkable distance to some restaurants and Publix and Kroger grocery stores. You can tell the facilities are a bit dated, but it was clean, bed was very comfortable, and there is a basic kitchen. Staff was friendly. Would stay here again.

Great clean room. with plenty of amenities. The continental breakfast was good Liked having biscuits and gravy and bacon available along with the pastries.nice selection of snacks and soft drinks available.
No luggage carriers easily available. Don't know if they had them.

“So welcoming and comfortable from the minute you enter. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room, although on the small side was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

“I really enjoyed my stay. The cottages are new, it's clear they were built recently. They are within walking distance of the hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, the plumbing is high-quality, and the beds are comfortable. It's also very nice that there are automatic blinds on the windows, so you can sleep in complete darkness in the morning. Additionally, each cottage has a shared kitchen.”
