The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

  room was small furnishings were very dated wi-fi was pretty funky for 2025 the inn is located in the middle of an industrial area.....except for chinese restaurant, there is nothing commercial near the inn......truly in the middle of nowhere, which isn't so bad if you have a car, but without one, you're up the creek

  Pay to park ($25/daily) is insane considering how much we paid for the room! The size of the trash can for everyday trash was the same size as the bathroom trash can, and yall didn't even leave an extra bag in either one! Wifi service sucked, and to pay to use your wifi is ridiculous, $3 a load to wash and $3 to dry clothes...This place is money pit! It was comfortable and nice but not for the price!

  I didn’t like the fact that the room had a damp odor. The carpet has a huge rip in the middle of the floor. Broken paintings on the wall, peeling paint and rusted lamps. Overall the property was not maintained. The tile floor in the bathroom was ripped. The sink had brown liquid pour up from the drain, and they charge an extra $11.00 per night for a mini fridge and microwave. The staff doesn’t communicate well because at the time of check in we weren’t informed that we had to pay $5.00 per day for parking. They did inform us about parking on our third day by putting a paper notice on our car. Other motel tenants had the same paper on their car which means they weren’t notified as well. Would I stay here agin, absolutely not. Ooh and the staff weren’t welcoming at all.

  They described it as a full functioning kitchenette, but you can’t cook any food because all they have is a microwave and no utensils for cups but there is a kitchen you just can’t use there was no gas grill and like I said you could not cook any food so if you’re going as a family, don’t buy food you’re gonna have to eat out every day
