- “Great location! The proprietors Olav and Brigitte were fantastic hosts. We rode our bikes on a terribly rainy day, and they assisted us with our baggage and even cleaning the bikes off too. The room was excellent - first class linens, and great bathroom products. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic too - we enjoyed a nice sampling of yogurts, meats and cheeses. We even got to sample several of the cheeses that Brigitte sells in her store. Arcen is a quaint beautiful little town, and La Dominette is right in the center. Wonderful restaurants are within a 50 meter or less walk. This is an outstanding B & B - one of the very best we’ve ever stayed in!!”

The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, the plumbing is high-quality, and the beds are comfortable.   Everything !!! Excellent size of the room, the kitchen and the bathroom. I have to mention it; with in the room a full kitchen and dining area. And the bathroom private with in the room, too. A comfortable bed. *** Staff courteous and respectful. Good female roommates. Nice breakfast . The coffee and tea very good. Excellent location as far as transportation. Security of the property properly done. General cleaning excellent. We, as the guests have to do our part to keep it clean too There is always a little sheep (guest), that does not does its part. Other than that, excellent.

  The Sayre Mansion is an incredible place. The appearance and ambiance of the property is very handsome. The staff were exceptional in both service and sociability. We enjoyed our visits with all the staff. Each room seems to be a unique experience and layout. Our room was quite large with a sitting room addition. The rumors say that our room is one of the two on the property that are supposedly haunted but we didn’t have any uninvited visitors during our stay. Breakfaat was just what we need and varied each day. Highly recommend

  The showers have a rain shower. A hand held shower nozzle would be great for the gals that don’t want to wet their hair at each shower.

  I enjoyed the breakfast I thought that was pretty neat as well as the roommate I was placed with made the stay more enjoyable as well as people were friendly if you approached them but also left you alone

  I think based off the circumstances and what I was paying for there shouldn’t be a high bar for a place because at the end of the day it is a roof over my head and a bonus of food on the table

  Need more Signage!!! Staff at desk on entry didn’t tell us we’d have to walk a ways with bags over uneven ground to get To our room.,, much less explain where it was! Just gave us a map and a nice smile… took us forever to find it… and talked to many other guests who had same experience!! One said they came in at night and were lost for 40 mins!! With bags! No help was offered at all They were clearly senior citizens who could have used help with their bags NEED MORE CLEAR SIGNAGE! From parking lot on! Once you know it it’s easy but when it’s new it’s not! Bigger numbers on the buildings, etc

  Absolutely disgusting, would not even get in the bed to sleep in it after discovering the disgusting linens and pillows . The shower curtain had blood stains on it. And was nasty at the bottom. Could not take a shower or get sleep.
