  I reported to the staff that handyman who installed the left hand door handle in a right hand door. This install made it so you had to pull up on the handle to exit the room, their answer was to put a label on the door instructing you to pull up. This is a fire hazard not allowing proper egress from the room especially if the person is blind and cannot read the label. When I told the front desk they replied that all the doors were getting new locks on September 17. I'm a retired Home Inspector of 20 years, when I see a issue I report it to the front desk, especially if it's a safety hazard

  Very large rooms, clean and spacious. Cute, cottage inn vibe and it was nice to have complimentary tea, coffee, apple cider and cookies every evening. Rooms were spotless and well appointed. One thing to note is that there is no daily housekeeping or turn down service unless specifically requested....not too big a deal if you are only staying for a few nights

  One person can make a whole experience. Front desk lady was so mean. Guy who came out brought it back to a 4. Then she came again. Girl is wearing pj’s yelling at me for my neighbors room. Knocks on his door with me present . Blames it on me.

  The pool area was awesome! The apartment was a little outdated but very nice, larger than expected and very comfortable! The neighborhood was pretty quiet, we took a nice walk around.

  The appliances were very old. Assuming circa 1990s or early 2000s, which is old for appliances. Dogs should be allowed.

  The location is ideal for its proximity to Santa Monica and LAX.

  The hotel is dated, with a noticeable odor and an uncomfortably hot lobby. The staff offer little communication, adding to the poor experience. The adjacent convenience store is dilapidated and permanently closed, and the only water option is marked with a sign essentially warning guests not to fill their cups “out of consideration for others.” I was motivated enough to leave by 6AM on a day where I really didn’t need to rush.
