Like most other Hilton properties I have stayed at this one was top notch. We ended up with a top floor harbor view room! When we arrived it was all fogged in so not much to see until the next morning with a great view of the harbor. The hotel is on a boardwalk which follows the harbor and has several restaurant choices just next door besides its own on premises restaurant. Had full complimentary breakfast (Thank you Hilton Honors status) that offered pretty much anything you could want for breakfast.”

      The space was beautiful, and the pictures were exactly as shown. The location was perfect—close to everything—and we truly enjoyed our stay. We’re hoping to stay again in March 2026, as we’ll be back in town for another event at the same hotel.

      Having a visitor pass option to avoid waiting in line at the entrance would be a nice improvement. That said, I do appreciate how seriously the gate staff take their job—it definitely adds to the feeling of safety, especially when staying in a new environment.

      Great view and it had everything you need. The host is fabulous and wants your stay to be great. I would recommend staying in a room with a balcony so you can sit outside.

      Great place, perfect for stargazing. Loved the kithcen and supplies for breakfast.

      It is not possible to get to the lodge without a car, and it's very hard to get to Julian town from it. Some arrangements for guests without cars (if you could hook guests up with a local cab service, or arrange a free shuttle to and from Julian and other local attractions) would be great.

      Very clean and well equipped. The back driveway and parking made unloading and loading very convenient, as did the sliding glass door. Parking in back is preferred to parking in front for safety and security. This property also turned out to be exceedingly convenient for our purposes - it was close to grocery stores, gas stations, and the homes of our family members.

      The closets lacked a sufficient supply of hangers. While the back driveway and parking was convenient for loading/unloading, it was inconvenient when leaving and returning. This is because the back sliding door could not be locked from the outside, only the front door could be locked with a code when leaving. This meant that you had to walk around the outside of the house to access any vehicle parked in back, and the opposite walk around was required when returning. Also, the side wooden gate latch was not functional, and could not be latched/opened/ accessed from both sides.
