- “So welcoming and comfortable from the minute you enter. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room, although on the small side was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

  Location was quite good. It is a bit far away from SOBE touristic places (Ocean Dr, Española Way, Lincoln Rd, etc.) to go walking but there are several stops from the Miami Beach free trolley nearby. Beach is really close and the area is quiet at night.

  The room needs updating. Many pieces of furniture, doors, ceilings, and walls were dented and stained. Our room was not cleaned during our stay. We stayed for two nights. After the first night, we went for a walk and returned to the room around 4 pm. It still hadn't been cleaned, and when we left again, I complained to the front desk, and they told me that housekeeping had already left at 5 pm and that they wouldn't be able to clean our room that day. I asked if they could at least provide us with clean towels, but unfortunately, they didn't. It wasn't a big deal because we were only there for two nights, but I was disappointed. If room service was supposed to clean the room between 4 and 5 pm, they could have knocked on the door and we would have left the room.

  The smell, my rooms smelled like mildew/Mold, you could see it growing on the wall in the bathroom; leaked water all over the floor; drawers were missing from the cabinets; cabinets outdated and smelled; no iron or ironing boards; elevator was broken so I had to walk up flights of stairs to access my room; halls were dirty and unclean; the entire hall smelled, so you could tell that it’s being used a living quarters for those who want to pay weekly/monthly rates.
