    - “So welcoming and comfortable from the minute you enter. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room, although on the small side was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

      I really enjoyed my stay! The customer service was excellent—very friendly and welcoming. I loved the lounge area with grills and comfortable seating, as well as the plenty of seating around the pool. The breakfast was great with both hot and cold options, and everything was very clean. The location was also a big plus, close to stores and restaurants, which made it convenient for shopping and perfect for a solo trip or family stay.

      The hotel is pet-friendly, which is great, though I did notice my allergies more than expected. The pillows were a bit small and the pool was crowded during the holiday.

      The one-bed studio we rented was spacious and had a well appointed kitchen. The studio was clean and had lots of towels in the bathroom. The jetted bathtub is a nice bonus. The lodge rents bikes for free and we biked down to Tahoe City on the nice path along Truckee River. The area was very quiet since it was mid-week and in the slow season for the area.

      Nothing major, just a few minor annoying things. The ice maker in the fridge can be very loud at night. The light above the bed seems to have a mind of its own and turns off on a whim.

      Reserve a room with partial view of the ocean and balcony but the balcony wasn’t a balcony. It was a slide glass door that opened and you could look out at the ocean and the pool located in the resort. Was hoping that the balcony was a place to sit and relax with my husband.
