The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

      Incredible location for an easy walk to town, the beach, and the Marginal Way walking path! Staff extremely friendly, views are beautiful, and hot tub, pool, grills for cooking outside, and garden area for sitting were added bonuses. The beds were extremely comfortable and the shower great water pressure and hot water. Only wish we could have stayed longer!

      It was clean and had what we needed. The bed was comfortable. Easy check in/out.

      The floor had been swept, but wasn’t exactly “clean”. You could still see some stains in the corners around the baseboards. Also, the check in man was nice and polite , but smelled like he had smoked a few too many joints.

      It was very close to Mercedes Benz stadium where the event I came into to town was taking place.

      The park was bad and the breakfast area is very small and they ran out of food and drinks a lot. The rooms were oddly put together. The staff wasn’t very friendly or helpful. My daughter is special needs and we had to park across the street. Not enough handicap spaces.
