- “So welcoming and comfortable from the minute you enter. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room, although on the small side was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

The outdoor space allocated to the B&B is manicured with fruit trees and a nice seating area. Parking is right by the entrance. Very conveniently located for our needs connecting with local family.   I liked the proximity to everything on Ybor, and the safety of the doors and how friendly and accommodating the staff was. It was very clean.

  My only gripe is how I wasn’t given information about parking before checking in and how check in they give you the address for the front door but there is nowhere to park and check in so you have to look for signage and figure out parking. Not a major deal, just a little annoying.

  Facilities were fine, nothing special, but clean and in good shape. Rooms were clean. Beds were comfortable.

  I booked the reservation months in advance and requested joining rooms and early check-in. While trying to confirm this the day before arriving, I was hung up on twice and they would not confirm joining rooms. We did get joining rooms upon arrival, but it should not have been such a hassle.

  Staff was friendly. The location was good for us for a wedding at the beauport hotel.

  The bathroom sink drained slow. The seal around the door was bad. A lot of light coming through and wide enough for critters to come in. We didn’t have any but it’s a possibility. The beds were very uncomfortable. They also said one queen and a full and it was two full. My wife and I kept hitting each other when we turned over. Grandkids were in the other bed.

  I dropped my phone and it went under night stand so I moved it and it was all sorts of dirty under there. Never came across this in our other rooms. There was a dried spill on the side of the bed by the chair, and the baseboards all around are icky so I was thinking maybe the person before us stayed a long time.

  Typical breakfast. I liked the size of the room. I liked that there was some grass not too far away to take my dog to. (And poop bags)

  We were on an extended vacation. Stayed in a variety of hotels. Your exorbitant pet fee of $40 per night was the main turn off. Other hotels were between $20 and $30 per night. Others had better pet friendly accommodations. Some rooms had vinyl wood flooring for pet friendly rooms. I thought that was smart. I will never stay in your hotel again, nor any that charge so much more than other options. It was my first time traveling with a dog.
