The beds are really comfortable!! The size of the apartment was nice and spacious. The pool area was nice. We enjoyed the location as it was near lots of things to do and places to eat. They allow pets and they do not overcharge for their pet deposit. The National Civil Rights Museum is across the street and one block over there is a great BBQ spot called Central BBQ. The zoo is only 15 minutes away and Beale street is walking distance or a short drive. Check-in was relatively simple because you receive a code prior to your arrival.

Parking was easy enough during the day but in the evening and at night it’s a bit difficult. There are some pay to park lots around but it would have been nice to have dedicated parking for the hotel. They allow pets, but there aren’t really a lot of places around the hotel to take them to use the bathroom. We had to walk about 3 blocks to a patch of grass each day. It wasn’t terrible because the weather was favorable, but I imagine it would suck if the weather was not favorable. We ran into an issue with the air conditioner in one of our units and trying to get that fixed in a timely manner was extremely difficult and frustrating. It was equally as difficult to get reimbursed for the time we spent without air conditioning. In the end it was fixed and I do feel that I was fairly reimbursed, but by the time everything was sorted the damage was already done and our overall trip experience was diminished. I think it would have been better if they had at least one person available on site to speak with instead of having to do everything over the phone.

Great location to the Mega Cavern. Price was great as well as as the restaurant on site. Good variety of slot machines and decorations were all derby themed. Very clean.

The hotel is convenient to the subway. Hotel is newer and rooms are nice. Staff is friendly. The sushi restaurant is good and you can order takeout for your room.

Breakfast is a joke. The included 'breakfast' is drip coffee, 7-eleven muffins in cellophane and Yoplait mini cups. Not even Holiday Inn level let alone a 4-star hotel breakfast. They charge you a $20 non-refundable, use or lose resort fee which you use at the cafe or bar. A small coffee and 'actual' 1/2 cup of yoghurt is $25+ dollars for one person. There really isn't anything near by so unless you walk to the Starbucks about 4 blocks away you don't get breakfast. The bathroom set up is funky and I'm not a fan. You have 'glass rooms' for the shower and toilet... not private. The sink is in the room. The rooms are tight to for one piece of luggage. No fridge unless requested. Bottled water is $5 in the room. A 4-star that charges for every little thing... There are better value options available.

The sink has old caulking with rust on it. The toilet seat is stained and needs to be replaced. The biggest thing was when we walked in the room and closed the door. There was a cockroach on the door which I had to kill. We saw several roaches while we there.

Let’s just say this hotel is “no frills” and that you get what you pay for. I see a kitchenette when I booked, but what it doesn’t say is that there’s no kitchen equipment, I mean there’s not even a plastic cup to drink out of in the whole room. The neighborhood is slightly sketch but some of the other hotel guests were not very respectful, making a lot of noise, and I was woken up at 3am on the second night by the smell of a burning bagel and the sound of a fire alarm from another room
