We loved our room, it was ground level, and we could park close to our room ( no hauling our luggage a country mile! lol)...so quiet and peaceful and a beautiful ❤️ fountain was outside not far from our room and I wish we could of stayed longer. They had an amazing full breakfast , eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, and all the regular stuff too, in a big open dining area so you weren't crowded by your fellow guests.Staff were very pleasant &kind, location was perfect for us. Gas station close by, easy access to hwy.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the place was really beautiful! It was family friendly for being in the middle of the city, and I loved that it was pet friendly (even if mine were home). The place was well kept and clean.

Breakfast was lack luster, definitely not one of my favorites. Which was bummer considering I was in NOLA. I'm a lifelong Louisiana resident and have lived in Cajun country so I know good cooking. Considering the cost of my stay the Breakfast should have been better. The beds sucked. I've spent less on an inner city room and had better beds. The couch bed was an absolute joke. There wasn't even cushions to cover the springs.

Location, cleanliness. Quiet. Tv works fine. Good water temp and pressure. Security is ok. Check in and check out without hassle; no surprises. Everything looks and is new. Only 3 rooms per floor.

Room too dark; very poor lighting, and dark carpet doesn’t help. Ultra small closet not practical. No place to put your stuff: lacks luggage rack, wardrobe; needs a place for toiletries and bathroom stuff; no towel bars. Room advertised for two people but only one night table. There is a constant banging sound 24/7 in the building, outside the room, that could be annoying for light sleepers; Room temp could not be controlled -temp too cold. Room is advertised as ADA room but has flaws. Toilet button too hard for disabled person. Shower operation too complicated. An ADA room should not have a bathtub! Facilities are minimal; there should be a microwave at least to heat the coffee offered in thermos. Staff is so so; maybe inexperienced; look tense.

The accommodations were comfortable, clean, clearly recently renovated, and homey. I had a great shower and a good night's sleep. I'll be staying here again the next time I'm in town.

Sketchy neighbors in room next door, advertised as a Howard Johnson, but actually an older converted motel. I had to go to the lobby twice for towels.

Located right off I95, good breakfast, clean
Negative section of review
ridiculously high pet fee ( booking listed it as $35, which is reasonable, it was really $75. If we weren’t so tired, we would have left. Cost more for the dog than us!), poor signage into property and road in not well lit

I had a very uncomfortable stay. Most importantly, the room was barely heated and it was snowing and hailing outside. The room was almost unbearably cold at all times. There were also sanitary issues - the duvet had no cover, and there were dirty shoe prints in the bathroom. I had to do some work while there and it was very difficult to do so in the room. I was able to use the TV unit as a makeshift desk, but there was no chair. When I asked for one the staff dragged in an armchair from the hallway, making the tiny room even harder to navigate. Also, with no sound insulation of any kind, if anyone talked, walked, ran a faucet, or flushed a toilet in an adjoining room, the room above, or the hallway, it was a shared experience. While the lobby and bar were attractive, there was still no comfort to be found - seating choices included hard wooden benches or chairs that were too low for their accompanying tables in the lobby, or a padded bench in the bar with a back so straight you're pitched forward while sitting. The staff were nice enough and it's in a great location, but this property seems to be designed for visual appeal without any consideration for comfort or practicality.
