Amongst other things, I loved the location , just 100 m away from subway station, and the fact that there is a 24/7 food market next to it which makes oven hot dishes for you. Then the rooms had all facilities and even an iron with an iron board! I was so surprised. The staff was kind and would guide me about the ways as well.

I think there should be a concierge. Besides they have kept non English speaking staff who wouldn't understand and would not clean the room properly especially the bathroom. Also, they should keep Halal food for Muslim guests. They should not keep a security deposit of 150 usd as this takes away credit limit for someone who is on a budget.

The location and the available parking are big plusses here. Furnishings are adequate but not the most comfortable. Great TV viewing options. Some minor cleanliness issues but might be due to being assigned a room they did not plan to rent that night (see concerns).

The customer service needs to be more accurate. We booked long ago, but in the interim my husband broke a foot. Since we were still within the time to cancel, I contacted The Matriarch to ask about stairs. They replied it was flat except for possibly 2 steps. However, when we arrived, we were in an upstairs suite. At that point, they did move us to "the house" a much bigger space, but still bedrooms and full bathrooms were upstairs. We made the best of it, but what still doesn't set well is a reply to my concern received an apology for "minor miscommunication" and a claim that since I booked through this site, the room was assigned by booking. I'm sure they could see which room we had when I wrote about the broken foot and that answer was direct.

The TV got 6 channels. And behind the dresser area it was completely dirty. The bath tub had grime in it and the water was hard to turn on all the way. And when I took the sheets off the bed to get it ready for when we left the mattress was aweful it was black and drown stained and gross. The door you had to lift up on the handle to open it . It is what people would call a crack hotel.
