The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The plants around the hotel were pleasant and there was some outdoor seating . There was a fairly typical hotel breakfast included with surprisingly good coffee. I liked that the decor of the room was really minimalist but some people would find it bland I suppose. It's a short block walk to the beach and Cabrillo Blvd restaurants, which was great. Appreciated 12:00 check out rather than the 11:00 at many other places.

Bathroom could use some counter space, cabinetry or at least some hooks. There was a hot tub and pool but they didnt look all that inviting, especially the hot tub area. Not dirty at all but not aesthetically pleasing for a fairly expensive hotel. Maybe some plants or decorations on the surrounding walls would help. Same for the tiny back porch-the high walls give privacy but dont make it a very alluring setting to hang out, though I did appreciate some outdoor seating because the climate in Santa Barbara is so nice.

They could offer a bit more variety at the breakfast buffet. My room had a kitchenette. The housekeeping staff did a poor job preparing the room for 4 adults. I was provided 1 large pot, 2 spoons, 3 forks, no cooking utensils, 2 bath towels and 3 wash cloths. The room also smelled stale, musty odor when we first entered. I had to purchase air freshener to fragrance the room a bit.

Breakfast could have been better. Didn't feel as though any effort was put into the food available. Eggs were blah and no potatoes or breakfast meat. Muffins and bread products were available, but nothing stood out as above routine and perfunctory.
