Aloha My wife and I travel to Oahu often from The Big Island and we rarely stay in downtown Waikiki. This last trip we stayed at The Hotel Renew because it was within walking distance to the beach and was very affordable and walking distance to the beaches and walking distance to everything you need. The hotel was super clean and the rooms were comfortable and fresh. We will definitely be staying there again on our next trip. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful with all of our needs. I give The Hotel Renew 5 stars across the board. It was a convenient location to downtown and the bridge. It was nice to have a refrigerator in the room. There was a deck with two chairs. Parking was tight but adequate. Some rooms had a view of the bridge.

The rooms were a little small. The pillows were not comfortable. The sink was outside the toilet area. Two main light fixtures didn't work so the room was dark. (I called to ask about getting them fixed. Someone showed up but didn't return with a solution.) Everything felt old and dated. The outside doors from the parking lot did not lock or have card-only admittance, so it felt unsecure.

It is sufficient for an overnight stay during a long trip with a limited budget and limited options in the area.

I was in the US in 2016, and it seems to me that this hotel has not been renovated since then. Unfortunately, this is noticeable in cheaper hotels such as Motel 6.

The room was dirty and the bartender over served my son we asked for help it was denied we called police for an ambulance and got accused of false accusations we were let go and still no ambulance for my son he could of died last night the bartender never measured her pours and my son was turning colors asked for water that was denied going to seek legal assistance for this matter and to top it all off we got kicked out because we needed help for my son
