This rental worked out well for my short-stay in Boston. Location is on residential street steps away from the T stop and short walk to Coolidge Corner. The one room and bath were clean and fixtures/furnishings appeared to be new. Two drawbacks were lack of sound-proofing in building and not having a more comfortable choice for a small chair and table.

The front desk- Hermonie she was professional courteous, kind and friendly with a great smile and patient people friendly. These ste great attributes when dealing with a large check in crowd. Thank you. The beds were comfortable clean which is everything.

It's in a run down part of town. The breakfast buffet didn't have much protein, so I drove to get a balanced breakfast. There is a Starbucks and an IHOP in walking distance, but I felt safer driving due to the condition of the neighborhood.

I wish there was a food option other than breakfast. After driving all day, getting in the car to drive to a fast food or take away type food establishment has zero appeal. I made do with a glass of wine, banan and bag of chips for dinner, A salad or soup, even if prepackaged would have been preferable.

The bedroom smell like smoke. The bathroom had a toilet stored inside. The bed didn't have a comforter. The room didn't have a clean feel to it. The breakfast availble wasn't of the best quality.

The AC unit in the room was broken and permanently on so the room was a constant 50 degrees all night, the hallways smell of mold, the pool is permanently closed, all of the machines in the breakfast area are broken or don't exist i.e no waffles, no toast, no cereal, they only had yogurt that tasted expired, untoasted bread, and old apples. I specifically picked this hotel for the amenities and was greatly disappointed. This is $60 a night at best

Overall, we enjoyed our stay! Donna, the front desk, assistant, was absolutely exceptional! The room and pool were clean, and we were impressed by the comfort. Honestly, the only thing I would say was that the breakfast was terrible. Specifically, the eggs tasted like powder and the coffee was much too bitter. We stayed for two nights and I was hopeful for breakfast. The following morning would be better and sadly it was not. That is the only thing I can comment in terms of room for improvement!
