The value for the location is excellent. The immediate area feels safe and is close/walkable to many downtown attractions. The staff is great, our room was clean, and the amenities are great for the price (microwave and fridge, etc). They have free parking and a nearby bus stop, so public transportation is accessible if you want to stay parked and explore the city that way.

Parking right by your room could be limited; they said that they have an overflow lot just in case. The rooms are a bit dated, but that's reflected in the price/is reasonable given the value.

Breakfast stayed well stocked and there was plenty to go around. My family of six had a great time the room was comfortable it fit us while it was very clean. Honestly no complaints!

The hotel room left MUCH to be desired, and for what we paid we could've stayed at another chain with a better room, I know because we were in Peoria 10 days prior. The drapes, window heating/cooling device, ceiling, & floor were all stained with drops of some type of black substance. The fixtures go back to late 1990's, the couch had a sunken in spot, the desk had a station to plug things in- that didn't attach to anything, and the tub, the bottom was covered with an I don't know what to stop you from seeing the rust. Finally the smell, the smell was like a damp closet that hadn't been opened for a few years. When we came in the room was 78° in August & the cooling system was OFF! We turned it down to 68° and went out for dinner hoping the smell would clear and the room would be cool upon our return. The room only ever made it to 70°, but the smell- it was still there. We were to tired from traveling so we went to bed since it was only 1 night. The breakfast was meh, Jimmy Dean things- that were warm- props to not having to nuke them yourself- cereal and bakery items. Zero decent protein offerings, not even Greek yogurt. Luckily we were only there for 1 night- we won't be back. If you do decide to stay refuse room 229.

The parking lot was extremely dirty. The toilet had a brown stain and what seemed to be a long pubic on the seat. There wasn’t a phone in the room to call the front desk. T.v. Wasn’t working till the front desk tenant came to plug something into the back of the t.v. to get it to come on. Both smoke alarms were torn off the wall. Stains on the sheets. Not one drawer in the entire room. I am a double amputee so I booked a room with handicap accessible room which the pictures showed a shower with a shower head that you can take down and a wand that helps me take a shower. Our room had a tub I had to crawl over instead of the shower that is flat. The staff being very helpful was the only reason I didn’t pack up and moved to a different hotel!!
