The location of the elevator was appalling. One had to move luggage over carpet the whole length of the hotel. Difficult. Bistro was minimally staffed by one person, both bartender and cook. Food not good.

The parking was fine. The check in started out fine. The front desk was decorated with seasonal holiday decor to make it cheery.

Cleanliness was the main problem. After looking closely, I found so many surfaces that weren't clean or even maintained. The tub/shower had pink mold, overall dingy/not clean at all with hair from previous people. The mirror wasn't clean. The door had white spatters of either toothpaste or who knows what on it. The toilet had a ring of dirt in it. The room didn't smell bad until the next morning, and then it smelled like wet dog. I think the smell was coming from the carpet. The bed had dirt or something on it as and was wrinkled as if someone laid on it after doing landscaping work. The beds was hard. I couldn't eat the breakfast because if the room looked like that, I couldn't trust how they kept the food or kitchen. Staff - When I told the night staff that the room wasn't clean, she didn't offer any solutions stating that there wasn't any other rooms. The next day, I talked to the manager and they would refund my next two nights but with a $50 fee. When I complained about having to pay the $50, the manager said, "well... I could charge you for the whole stay". Noise - The whole building is near the freeway and you can hear road noise. Not only that, you can hear noise from other rooms and definitely from the hallway. Value - I booked this room because it was less expensive but it isn't a value when it is this unclean and for the stress of wondering if there are bed bugs or getting sick from staying there. I wound up having to pay a crazy $300 to stay at another property for one night because everything was booked up. The last night I booked a one night stay near the airport for $200. This whole trip wound up costing me so much money and hassle of finding other rooms.

The whole building and staff have a very strange vibe. The guy who checked us in was truly bizarre, and not very friendly either. We don't understand why you require guest to place a parking pass in their windshield in a monitored, secured garage.
