The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

  The location was great. It was only a few miles away from the Southwest Mt Rainier Park (Nisqually) entrance. We could quickly enter the park and hike. The hot tub worked fantastic, and felt wonderful after some of our very long hike days. Bed felt really comfortable. Nice to have a full kitchen, and the Keurig coffee machine had lots of pods for us to use during our stay.

  Host could have done a lot better job to ensure conversations were more accurate. Original emails when we set up this reservation several months ago & confirmed the day we arrived stated to park and walk into the backyard & look for a door with a WELCOME sign on it & use a certain 4 digit code to enter the cabin. When we walked into the backyard, we saw a door but it did not have any WELCOME sign on it. We tried the code given to us & it would not work on the key pad. After calling, texting & emailing the host, we got a response stating that the sign must have been recently removed by the cleaning person (even though the group who rented this cabin a few weeks before our arrival noted that they could not see any WELCOME sign on the door), and that the door code was changed to a different 4 digit number. We used it and the door did open up for us. The inside stairs to walk up to the main unit had a wall switch, but the lights did not work. Not sure if the bulbs were burned out or the switch was bad. We notified the host right away, but it was still not working when we left the cabin 5 nights later. So walking up the stairs was in the dark. One of the big issues was that the WIFI did not work during our stay & being in a remote area, that resulted in no internet & no TV. So our smart TV was basically a paper weight during our 5 nights. Host noted that a service person was supposed to come out & fix the problem, but nothing was ever fixed. The round wooden table on the balcony was broken and unusable. I even sent the host a photo of it immediately after checking into the cabin just to ensure they knew we did not damage the table. One night felt cool & we wanted to use the gas fireplace, but the note in the Welcome booklet said the controls were on the wall located by the kitchen table. No such control was found in that area. We asked the host & they said the control was moved to the wall in the living room.

  The quality and variety of breakfast items, the staff were very friendly. The rooftop view was pretty amazing. The room and bathroom were clean also.
