Great location. Close to a good range of food options for different tastes and budgets. The desk staff were always friendly and helpful. They have a 24 hour store with a surprisingly good range of essentials, and the guest laundry was very much appreciated. The fitness center is pretty decent, too, for a smallish hotel.

The housekeeping was random and bizarre. Some days they take your soap and don't provide a replacement; some days you don't get towels; other days, you don't get coffee pouches, or you don't get your trash emptied; one day during my trip, they didn't come at all. At the start there was a card with a QR code and the name of the housekeeper so you can tip them. I always tip, but I do it at the end. Anyway, the card disappeared after a few days, and that's when I noticed that things weren't being done. Maybe their thinking is that you should tip at the start (and keeping tipping each day?) to induce them to keep providing the service you already paid for... Not sure. I've never seen such inconsistency. Not a deal breaker, but weird.

The front desk staff members were excellent. The room and bed were very comfortable and the AC kept us reliably cool.

Minor thing but the hotel could use more renovations such as painting walls. The free drinks coupons are very limited. You can only redeem them at specific times and only for fruit juice.

The room was tiny, had very little light and no place to put anything. The casino was the worst one we played in our entire time in Deadwood and the staff at the hotel looked at us like we were trailer trash every time we had to talk to them, from the moment I checked in until the bellman watched us pull away.

Very Old! Needs restoration, the floor felt like it was about to fall into pieces when walked. Because of that the bed wasn't leveled and we kept sliding so we didn't sleep well...
