The best aspects I think were the courtyard with ALL the flowers and beauty just inside the motel, as soon as you turn off the main drag; the little parking garages in the courtyard; the motel's location in the Marina district -walking distance to Palace of Fine Arts, presidio, great restaurants, cafes, shopping.

Great location, went to a concert at TD garden and only a 10 min walk. Also near Quincy market and Boston market. The breakfast and staff in North 26 restaurant (part of hotel) was excellent.

The staff I interacted with was NOT friendly at all. Arrived to check in, no hello, no smile. Seemed like desk clerk was bothered to help us to get checked in. She told us nothing about any of the amenities of the hotel and where they are located. Then we got to our room and AC was not working. Again, when maintenance arrived, he also seemed annoyed he was called to do his job. The room was also nothing special. The bathroom door was a sliding door that did not stay closed. The tub was an old style wide based tub which was difficult to get in/out. If we were elderly, I would be worried getting in/out of the tub without breaking a hip. Finally the water temperature for the shower was not hot, warm at best. Finally, When I booked the room on booking.com, it mentioned breakfast included. This same unpleasant desk clerk said they don’t give “free breakfast”. Then when she took a few minutes to verify that my reservation did have breakfast included, she said it’s only a $25 credit per person. Again her communication skills were poor. For over $500 a night, the overall quality and service was not worth it. Should not be a four star hotel based on what I got for my stay. 3 star at best.

I enjoyed the amenities it had for children. The splash pad was such a hit for my kid and the playground. It was clean and nice. The icecream machine at the pool was perfect!
