- “So welcoming and comfortable from the minute you enter. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room, although on the small side was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

The outdoor space allocated to the B&B is manicured with fruit trees and a nice seating area. Parking is right by the entrance. Very conveniently located for our needs connecting with local family.   The hotel is very clean. The rooms are large. Each floor has a filtered water dispenser that was a nice feature. A warm breakfast is served daily. The staff are very friendly. It's right next to the convention center, airport, and several restaurants for convenience. The pool and jacuzzi are well kept.

  At check-in, there is a prominant notification that if you reside in the hotel, you have to leave for 24 hours every 21 days. Sadly, it looked as though some had fallen on hard times and were living in the hotel. The art and furnishings are old. It's not luxurious, but it will get the job done for a decent price.

  It's in a decent area, mostly quiet with Applebees close and 5 minutes from where I needed to be Saturday and Sunday. Clean area of town, light traffic, good exit and entrance to freeway.

  My main purpose for staying was sleep. The first night the noise from upper floor was like someone practicing a Polynesian war dance. Was told I should inform desk, but it was loud enough they should have heard it and done something. There was a charge of $20.00 that wasn't explained, didn't know about it until I check my bank account. There were no slippers or bathrobes as listed on Booking.com.

  I have been coming here for years. The property is beautiful very well kept the staff is always nice and accommodating.

  In all the years I’ve been coming here. This is the first time we did not enjoy the breakfast. I don’t know whether they changed companies, but the eggs were horrible. They were very rubbery and slimy but as for everything else, it’s always great.

  When I first got to the hotel with my family there were people standing hanging all outside their hotel room it was a bunch of teenagers just hanging out all throughout the night it’s people sitting on the stairs smoking cigarettes a bunch of cats hanging around outside my room I left out the room to tell the staff that the remote wasn’t working it was a gray cat trying to come inside of the room the cats all by the pool area the room wasn’t cleaned properly it was old fries on the floor in the corner the room had an odd smell to where I couldn’t even get any sleep I had to sleep with my shirt pulled over my nose the air from the room was terrible I kept coughing because of the air I brethren in from the air being on I would never stay here again the smell was horrible inside the room it smelled like pee and cats outside of my room
