The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

When guests stay at the property, they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff is, and more.

My stay at The Embassy Hotel on August 7th was so unpleasant that I felt compelled to leave this review as a warning to other travelers. I have stayed in many budget and mid-range hotels before, but this was by far one of the worst experiences I’ve had. The condition of the room was unacceptable. The bathroom and bedroom were clearly not cleaned properly as the floors and fixtures felt grimy, and the overall impression was dirty and neglected. The curtains were stained, which immediately made the space feel unhygienic, and the windows were damaged to the point where they felt unsafe and did not provide proper insulation or security. On top of the cleanliness issues, the room lacked even the most basic essentials. There were no outlets conveniently available for charging phones or laptops, and shockingly, there wasn’t even a trash can anywhere in the room. It’s hard to understand how a hotel operating in San Francisco can overlook such simple necessities. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was uncomfortable, and we could not relax or rest properly. The conditions were so disappointing that we decided to cut our losses, pack up, and leave the hotel at 6:00 a.m. (hours before check-out ) just to book another room elsewhere. I rarely abandon a paid booking early, but in this case, staying any longer was simply not an option. What makes this especially frustrating is that the hotel charges rates that imply a minimum standard of cleanliness and comfort, yet the reality fell far below expectations. I strongly urge management to take accountability and invest in serious cleaning, maintenance, and basic guest amenities. Until then, I cannot recommend The Embassy Hotel to anyone, and can only recommend that the building be condemned.
