  This was my third stay at Fernando Flats and it was excellent as usual. The property is a renovated 1950's motel that is restored in an old Cuba style with a variety of really special decor touches chosen by the owner, Marie.

  It was dirty. Hard to access (multiple people I ran into said the same, a couple even left because the check-in was not accommodating to late comers). Had an ant infestation and was told they couldn’t fix it til the next day, but I was still expected to stay in that specific room.

  The building is tired. Room was filthy. Bathroom patched together with sealer. Breakfast was packaged hostess cakes and yogurt. Better to tear the building down and start over. Location is ideal.
