Bar Harbor, Maine

Hospitality! A beautifully renovated inn, the management and staff very pleasant and helpful; breakfast amazing. Our well decorated room made you feel at home with a very comfortable king bed. A little nook with coffee, tea, water and snacks available. A walk away from where a shuttle bus picks you up, much better than being in the center of Bar Harbor trying to find parking and dealing with the hubbub of so many tourists.

The only thing we did not like was our room was on the 1st floor and faced the parking lot, not the issue as it was quiet, but I didn’t feel the curtain in the bathroom gave us a privacy feeling a bathroom should have, hopefully a shade will be added. Also, not a dislike, but on our visit there was no place to just sit outside and enjoy the evening. They’re currently working on a seating area with a fire pit. So it gives us a reason to return 😁

The staff were very sweet and nice. One person I would like to commend was a member of the staff managing the breakfast service. She was really nice and it was a pleasure interacting with her.

Room had a musty smell as though it had been unused for a while or had something spill inside the room or just outside in the corridor. On letting the staff know about it, we were told that a change of room wasn't possible. They sprayed the room with some room deodorizer, which didn't really help much. All in all, not a pleasant experience.

Fantastic location in the middle of downtown Hanover for at value compared to Hanover Inn. Valet parking was easy, staff super friendly, especially with our family with small kids
