  I've been staying at Carrs for 30 years. The location is prime, close to downtown and arts and crafts community, nice restaurants. The pool area had a face-lift since I was there last, very nice. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable.

  The area around the hotel has definitely declined since the fire. It's not a safety issue. it's just more cluttered every year. It's not the property owners fault.

  The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was ideal for where I need to go. Staff were friendly & helpful. The convenient store in the lobby was wonderful, especially after a late night out.

  Upon checking in, they were not able to locate my booking reservation. However they did create a new reservation and price matched it to the booking price. However this later caused an issue, as the booking reservation picked up as a no show and I was charged the 1st night's stay on my credit card. I requested that this be amended. However the hotel said they can't locate such a charge and to contact booking. Booking then said they can't get a response from the hotel. So now I've been double charged for the 1st night and neither booking or the hotel seems to be able to refund d me back.

  Booking through Booking.com was the most irritating process I ever incurred with Booking. A property. Mainly when I had a problem with my booking and called booking.com, all got AI. Never a chance to actually speak with a real person to explain my problem. I won't be using Booking.com again because of not being able to solve my problem.
