The Silversmith Hotel is a lovely property centrally located to many attractions in Chicago. It is very accessible to reach by public transportation (we arrived at Midway and the train dropped off one block away from the hotel). We walked nearly everywhere, and when we didn't, it was very easy to catch a bus or train within a few minutes of walking. As for the hotel itself, you can tell that the employees care and work hard. Everyone - from the front desk (Jasmine, Beverly, and Victor), the bar (Manuel and Juan), to the housekeeping - worked hard to make us comfortable. The room was clean and they answered every request we had. I would absolutely stay here again!

It is a busy area. I wouldn't say I didn't like it, but be aware there is a lot of activity going on. You will hear the elevated train all night, but we rather liked it. It sounded like a brief rain shower or an air conditioner being turned on. It wasn't loud or obnoxious. It was almost like white noise.

Totally awesome place to stay .Staff goes out of their way to be helpful.My husband is handicapped and they always pick a room easy for him to get to.Always asking if there is anything else they can do to make things better for us.Breakfast staff keeps things full and fresh.Dining room always clean and nice.

The location was perfect for our brief visit to Boston for the first time. We were able to park in a great spot directly in front of the Police station and just a short walk to our room. Also, the hosts were very responsive to our questions and very helpful!!

We were impressed at how clean the hotel was. They had fruit bowls and candy bowls in the lobby … a nice touch. Especially since we arrived late and a Piece of fruit was appreciated. Would definitely stay again.

Parking at the hotel was very expensive, which was a bit frustrating. I also noticed a hair on the couch, which made the room feel less clean than expected. But that was the only concern about cleanliness.
