This spot was hit hard by the storms. Several small businesses have adjusted to these new circumstances and Alpine Inn is one of them. This was a wonderful stay. The owner/operator was friendly and helpful. The rooms were redone to help provide ongoing service. They were nice, clean, a little small but not cramped. Bathroom was tight but very functional. Expect that going in. Staying here was very convenient to local attractions. Expect that you are part of the recovering tourist industry in one of the most beautiful places in NC and you will have an absolutely wonderful time.

It is a very nicely remodeled old Motel. The rooms have been completely modernized. They made great use of space by adding an extra vanity outside of the lavatory so one person can wash up while the other person has some privacy. Little things ranging from a candy dish and granola bars to the jar of miscellaneous items (that included everything from an emergency toothbrush and toothpaste to ear plugs) really add a welcoming touch. They even had a white-noise machine on one of the nightstands.

The approach to the place has a "seedy" feel initially, but after you look around a bit, you realize it's just an unfortunate consequence of an older property. (We didn't feel unsafe at any point.)

The hotel location was very convenient, as we traveled between Allison Park, the strip district, and New Kensington. The staff was very friendly. I liked that you needed a key card to enter.

When we arrived, the area outside of the elevators smelled like vomit, and a few items in the room were damaged, like the luggage rack and the wall.

Sketchy location with the most disgusting room I’ve ever seen. Only a flat sheet on the mattress covering a mattress pad on top of the nastiest stained mattress I’ve ever seen. I wouldn’t even sit down. The bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned and the toilet didn’t flush. Spent maybe 2 minutes in the room and walked out!!
