Fabulous location overlooking Avila beach. Great sun deck with breakfast overlooking the ocean. Staff were very friendly and the rate was fair. There are cute little amenities like free coffee all day long and a free espresso and pastry bar for breakfast. They also serve pies and ice cream at night. Not luxurious but honest and full of character.

The hotel has rustic charm, which is not everyone’s thing. The room we stayed in did not have a window and smelled a bit musty at first, but opening the skylight a crack cleared it right out. Parking can be challenging (narrow stalls) but we managed just fine.

Location was good. Was roomy and outdoors was great space for kids. The basketball goal football cornhole was great addition. Wish we had known about the grill/firepit in advance.

Being older house could use some updating. Little musty smell of being closed up. Beds were not very comfortable a little too hard for our liking. We were not there a great deal of the time since we weee there for dirt bike/4wheeler race. No tv in bedrooms and tv in living room not very friendly operating would be nice to have a basic cable service.

Old furnishings and worn. No clean towels & bathroom with rust stains. Extension cords everywhere & no outlet in bathroom. I heard mice in my room & not a safe neighborhood (drug dealer on stairs).

Front desk staff rude Asian guy and Mexican lady. They charged me double and refused to use the card on file for the hold because he was not with us for the trip. This was a birthday gift and I was not suppose to pay anything for the hotel. He called and asked and they told him everything was taken care of. But when we arrive the said parking was not paid for and deposit. We got in late and plans changed so we had to pay for parking $50 a night to park so $100 is crazy. parking was expensive. Ripe off.. when I went to get parking pass I explain to the Mexican lady we were coming back and I didn't want to keep paying $50 every time I leave. She said u have your check out receipt I told her the machine did not give me one and all I had was the check in receipt. She was admitt that we got a receipt I told her it could be possible it ran out of paper? She said yes. So I asked why don't you believe me I didn't get one. So I haad to pull up my bank statement to show her I paid then she kept saying I don't why your made at me i said because you keep saying im lying I didn't get a receipt. I was in a rush to a concert and she held me back for another 30mins making us late to the concert. This was a birthday gift and Ramamda let us down.

Breakfast was very basic-packaged cereal, oatmeal, and muffins. There was no place to eat it so we had to take it to our room which had a broken table.
