- “So welcoming and comfortable from the minute you enter. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room, although on the small side was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

  The property had a beautiful view of the harbor. Great location! Everything was within 5 min away. Went on a girls trip for my daughter’s birthday. Had 5 guests comfortably!

  Everything was going great and then noticed roaches coming out of the vents the last night. I was horrified! I was actually catching them and trapping them in cups to show the staff. They did reimburse me a small amount. I was praying I did not take one home with me. It took me hours to go through my things before taking them back into my home.

  Everything. The home itself felt very uncomfortable to where my family & I did not stay there. We could hear people walking & talking throughout the home. And I was not aware that other tenants would be staying in the home. The pictures did not show the entire inside of the home. There were holes in the wallsl of the hallway. There were several doors in the house and in one of the basement rooms, there was some furniture like a mattress, refrigerator & a table. The toilet did not work properly. There were spiders & spider webs in the bathroom & outside entry to the backyard. The backyard gate was unlocked & was full of trash. I could not reach anyone when I called the number. And when I sent a message, it was like I was talking to an AI person. I quickly packed my family's things up & found another hotel.

  When we arrived and went to open our patio door of our partial ocean view room we were greeted by our neighbors who were looking directly into our balcony (they were less than a foot from our space with no divider for privacy). Our partial ocean view was over their heads. Not only that we could not open our drapes or these neighbors would look directly into our room. It was quite disappointing. We had no other windows in our room so it was like sitting in an enclosed box. We asked to cancel our reservation but were denied. There was zero privacy.
