Over the past few years I have stayed in more vacation rentals than I can count. This one stands out from the rest in every way. From the thoughtful selection and arrangement of the furniture, decorations, and amenities, to the impeccable attention to detail. But staying in a vacation rental is more than just having a place to stay away from home. It is a whole experince that is influenced by, among other things, the location of the rental and the host. And in every way this experince surpassed my expectations. This host is clearly focused on ensuring the comfort of the guest, regardless of cost, time, or effort required to do so. And for that I appreciate dearly. Definitely recommend staying here.

Newport Bay Inn is a basic motel on a busy street (right off of 55 Freeway) but was just fine for my needs while working in the area for a week. I just need a clean bed and shower. The building is an old school small roadside motel that has been updated. My room was surprisingly quiet for being next to a freeway. Parking is available for each room. My small room was clean, the bed comfortable and the bathroom was clean and functional. There is no coffee maker but a small refrigerator and microwave. The owner doesn't speak a lot of English but we got our business taken care of without any confusion. The housekeeper was friendly and made her rounds everyday.

Very clean and spacious. The amenities provided were well thought out and help guests immensely. The beds were very comfortable and the little kitchen area was a huge welcome. The free laundry was again an excellent idea and we were very thankful for being able to get the laundry done. Overall a great place, and I highly recommend it to anyone!

Room was spacious, updated, and had a microwave, refrigerator, plates, and utensils. The people working at the front desk were very friendly, and answered all our questions about things to do in the area. The lobby had free cookies that were delicious. Conveniently located next to a strip mall with a grocery store and a few restaurants.

Breakfast was minimal, the only hot foods were microwave breakfast sandwiches and oatmeal. Would be nice to have a sponge to wash dishes with.

The restaurant. When asking for some extra bread for the meatball dish, I was told that the bread is expensive and I have to pay $5 extra! This was after I had paid 20% tip for pick up food!!
