- “So welcoming and comfortable from the minute you enter. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room, although on the small side was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

  This is a beautiful well-kept hotel in a great location. I stay here when I attend the US Open which hasn't been since 2019. I am pleased to note that the quality of this Westin remained exceptional despite my six year absence from it. Everything about it is great from the staff to the facilities. On my last day the down escalator wasn't working when I went out to get breakfast, but to my surprise it was already fixed when I returned 15 minutes later.

  I have always stayed at this property from before La Flora and now Kasa La flora. Love the renovated rooms and the location is always perfect for work, commuting and leisure

  A few things. The bathrooms water pressure is very lite. There are no hooks to hang the towels specially if the room service is not provided daily. Also the sink in the bathroom shoot the water in all directions (almost a mess) and I had an issue with the guests staying in room 210(next to me). They were like 9 people in the room and Friday and Saturday all up to 3:00am they were loud and not only loud but they were bagging the walls and floors like crazy.

  Location was perfect, we could walk to the pier and busy areas. Staff was too friendly and helpful.

  I called ahead to the hotel and the third party to confirm that the room included a bathtub, and I was told yes. However, once checked in, we were given the incorrect room. I did inform the front desk, but I was not going to change rooms after traveling all day.

  the AC unit was incredibly loud. It was like as loud as a gas generator. If you are sensitive to sound then you will definitely near ear plugs. Also, the bed was very stiff / squeaky.

  I didn't like the fact that my king bed room was full of ants and attacked my grandson that's 4 month's old and the floor was wet from the air conditioner. And my 2 queen bed room the bath tub was stuck on shower mode the shower only worked and I can't stand on my feet alone due to a stroke I just had and I had to because the tub didn't work properly. Wasn't to please for the prices I've paid for this for driving 3 hours to stay for a family funeral.

  There was a strong perfume smell, from the Glade plug-in freshner, and it caused migraines. I unplugged it, and opened the door and window, but every time we came into the room it made me sick. Perhaps avoid using things like this, or make aware they are used so it can be requested they're not used in future.
