    - “So welcoming and comfortable from the minute you enter. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room, although on the small side was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

      Location was perfect for my meetings at a nearby resort. It was not too crowded along the street or at the beach. The boardwalk access to the beach was close, convenient and wide enough for a golf cart. The pool was a perfect size and clean. Everything inside and out was fantastic. Comfortable beds and nice balconies. We brought our 2 dogs and the fenced yard in the back was definitely handy. There was a med/lg wire crate available but we had brought our own. Having the option to have the fridge stocked was one of the best things I've ever had the chance to arrange before arriving. We only spent 15 minutes in a grocery store 2 days after we got there. I can't wait to come back and stay even longer.

      Staff at the front desk and room services is excellent, professional and accommodating. Rooms were kept tidy each day by housekeeping. The beach at the hotel is very clean and stone free and the sand is soft as powder. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available to hotel guests. Pool and hot tub. Multiple bars and dining facilities in this hotel and in their sister hotel across the street. We would return again.

      We were disappointed that the pool was not running properly on the 3rd day of our visit - clearly the pumps/filters were not running/functioning correctly. Beds were a little meh, as they are starting to feel like hammocks and may not be firm enough for everyone's taste.

      I am disappointed that the pool has been closed. My family and I stay in this casino hotel every year 2-3 times a year and it's sad to see the pool close specifically when we live to spend our summer there
