- “So welcoming and comfortable from the minute you enter. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room, although on the small side was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

  the young lady (staff) behind the counter was very nice and friendly. the young man was also friendly. The room was partially clean.

  The windows in y room hadn't been cleaned in ages. You advertise Breakfast in morning but there was no dining room or Breakfast. The young man told me it was under construction. Funny! There were no workers and no noise. Then there were the Vending Machines. There was a sign that said Vending Machines this way. I was told they were broken. I asked the young man if he knew how to pick up the phone and call the company to have them repaired and filled. It just amazed me how these people think the American Public is so stupid that they don't know this is Fraud and False Advertising. There are laws against this and Wyndham is about to find out from me. Never stay there again or recommend any hotel by Wyndham in Midland/Odessa area. I do have pictures.

  The property is beautiful and very nicely kept. The inn and tavern were charming. Our waiter, Miron, was an excellent server.

  We were very disappointed with our room whose ambiance was no better than lesser cheaper motels. The furniture was old, chipped and faded. The floor in the bathroom was chipped and cracked at the base of the toilet. While we did not expect the charm that we assumed the main building had, we expected something better than what we experienced. There was no charm at all.

  Neighbors were loud, frequently yelling outside. I asked them to keep the noise down, and they were yelling at me to "mind my own business". I did not report them to the front desk, because I didn't want to escalate the situation.
