- “Great location! The proprietors Olav and Brigitte were fantastic hosts. We rode our bikes on a terribly rainy day, and they assisted us with our baggage and even cleaning the bikes off too. The room was excellent - first class linens, and great bathroom products. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic too - we enjoyed a nice sampling of yogurts, meats and cheeses. We even got to sample several of the cheeses that Brigitte sells in her store. Arcen is a quaint beautiful little town, and La Dominette is right in the center. Wonderful restaurants are within a 50 meter or less walk. This is an outstanding B & B - one of the very best we’ve ever stayed in!!”

The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, the plumbing is high-quality, and the beds are comfortable.   The location was excellent! Within walking distance of neighborhood delis, subways, and Central Park entrance was right out the front door. Quiet and clean neighborhood. There are rooftop balconies which was a pleasant surprise. Little kitchen downstairs if you wanted to cook something quick was also a pleasant surprise. Citibike docking station right out front.

  I wished the lobby kitchen was open all day. Breakfast options were reasonably priced and looked delicious. I also wished the cooler with sandwiches, yogurts, and fruit parfait was available all day as well.

  Downtown location, the bed was comfortable enough, and it was decent. The staff was nice.

  Homeless screaming outside the window, the room was dirty in some places, no good maintenance of the room, some guests were rude to us, we didn't feel safe sometimes.

  Temporary A/C due to renovations caused discomfort. Informed Staff that the duck tape didn’t seal the window and let hot 90 degree heat inside our room. Absolutely no response or fix. Also ATM in basement was out of order.

  When I walked into the room it smelled so bad of mold. Every time you walked in the room the mold smell smacked you in the face. The worst part was the beds. They were hard as rocks, it would’ve been more comfortable to sleep on the floor. I didn’t sleep well at all, couldn’t get comfortable and the other bed in the room was the same way. I couldn’t wait to leave. It was by far the worst beds I’ve ever had to sleep on. Everything in my body hurts. I tried to use the pillows to make it more comfortable, that didn’t work. It was just so bad, it literally felt like you were sleeping on a bed of rocks. On a side note, the parking is absolutely horrible, too small and too tight of a fit.
