I got this room booked for my mother, who is disabled and who had been turned away by other hotels. I made the reservation, and she was able to easily check in with a friendly staff who greeted her and took care of getting her situated in a handicap accessible room for no hassle. The room was clean, and the location was a nice, quiet environment. As well as the helpful staff that helped with any and all of personal needs, with my mother being handicap that is. Great stay! Roomier room than i was expecting. I'll be likely to return and refer this to family and friends. Thank you rodeway inn facilities. Thanks for dealing with my mom she may be a handful at times, but you guys were great in helping her through her moments.

The best thing about Silver Sands is its proximity to the beach: it's RIGHT THERE, and the view from the room is really wonderful and unobstructed. I'm sure it's hard to keep a motel habitable that close to a salt water beach, but Silver Sands is impressively habitable.

Weeeell . . . I hate to be picky but somebody had tracked sand into the room at the beachside entrance—not a lot, and nowhere else, but it was enough to make me wary. Still, it wasn't enough of a problem that I felt I should alert the management, or anything like that. After all, we were at the beach, right? For what it's worth, I take my sandals off outside the door. If everybody does that, sand is manageable.

Washing machines and dryers not working sufficiently. I advise not to use the hotel laundry. I alerted the night clerk that I had to wring out my clothes by hand as the washer (#2 from the entry) did not drain. And the only dryer that worked sufficiently is the Whirlpool. She seemed concerned but never put a sign on the washer. The morning clerk seemed more receptive. Not easy access off or back on to I80.

Cleaning staff knocked on our door a little after 9am wanting to know when we were checking out. Check out was at 11am. It was rude to knock on our door when we've paid for our room. Pool was really cold as well. Not enjoyable. We will not be returning to this location again. We have stayed here every year for many years however 2 bad experiences this year alone was enough for us to decide to find another hotel.
