Location; trail walk along river to town; Rooms comfortable and clean; Breakfast staff not the friendliest… seemed like they were there to do a job. Reception person was excellent when we arrived and throughout our stay!

The first thing we had to do was request new bedding because ours had brown stains all over. The front desk lady was kind and within 30 minutes housekeeping brought us new sheets. These sheets smelled so strongly of bleach that it burned my throat and eyes. The bed was actually comfortable though. The floors made our socks dirty. The balcony was disgusting. Had seagull/bird poop which is to be expected but this has been sitting for quite a while and you could tell it had not been cleaned, ever.. The wood of the balcony was old, paint pealing and it felt unsafe to be on. There were even nails sticking out. The shower curtain in the bathroom was also dirty at the bottom. I don't think it was changed between guests. The refrigerator hummed so loudly. The microwave was very old and took a very long time to heat anything up.. The main door to the room had a large gap all the way around (see photo) which let in light from the outside and also all the noise. We could hear every car pass on the street below, anyone who walked up the stairs and across in front of our room. It was very echoey and you could hear the mumbling of the guests in the room next to us when they talked, their footsteps as they walked and anytime they flushed or if the shower was running. For $200 a night I expected something better.. I did bring up our concerns to the front desk lady who apologized and said that they would refund us "some money" and her manager would be getting a hold of us to ask questions. It has been two days and we have heard nothing.

Everything. Dirty and extremely rundown. Paper thin walls, torn carpet, very very dirty. Soiled towels, I couldn’t even shower. Who knows what all over the bathroom wall. Have to haul your luggage upstairs. Can’t imagine sleeping in a room downstairs that was half underground! Bad smell of smoke & pot. Extremely dirty window ac unit that stank. The place even looks creepy. Never will stay here again.
