    - “So welcoming and comfortable from the minute you enter. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room, although on the small side was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

      Quick and easy check-in which was mere steps from parking lot, then quick elevators from there to take us right to our room. Everything was clean and well maintained with a good view of beach. Staff were friendly and efficient, and genuinely pet friendly which i especially appreciated.

      Being right on the boardwalk in peak season things can get a little rowdy outside, but we never felt unsafe.

      hotel couldnt help it rained most of time we where there , but visiting my son main reason for the stay he was moving , so couldnt enjoy the pools, but did get the beach for the short breaks in the rain,,, for the stay over all good ,,,

      Staff were amazing . It was super clean. And quiet. Everything was impeccably maintained.

      There weren’t enough food choices on (or near) the property and the property itself was a couple miles from most other places . The one central little hotel restaurant bar barely served food. Or had an odd three course meal you had to buy. And the only place to eat in walkable distance was a Mexican restaurant which was amazing but we had to eat there 3 times in 4 days . They need more food choices on the property itself . a snack shop would have helped a lot.

      I would have given the hotel a higher rating but the rooftop bar was closed my entire stay. I didn't know the rooftop bar is only open 4 nights a week. Gift shop did not have t-shirts in all sizes or I would have bought several. The hotel is gorgeous. Bad location but will improve as the other buildings are finished. Would stay here again. Staff was amazing. Drinks overpriced.
