We had a pleasant stay at Wyndham Garden Galena. The lobby is absolutely beautiful with its modern yet warm design, and it gives such a welcoming first impression. Our room was clean, minimalist, and comfortable, the bed and pillows especially made for a great night’s sleep. The bathroom was also very nice. I loved that they had mounted body wash, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers, which felt convenient and eco-friendly. The goat soap provided was honestly amazing—such a nice touch that made the stay feel a little more special. Overall, the hotel itself is lovely, our room was cozy, and the atmosphere felt calm and inviting. I’d definitely recommend Wyndham Garden Galena if you’re looking for a comfortable and nicely designed place to stay while exploring the area.

On area that could be improved is the check-in and check-out process. I received an email/text from the hotel for pre check-in that specifically said it would make my arrival easier, but when I got to the hotel, I still had to provide my information and update my card again. On top of that, there was no one at the front desk when I arrived (and again during checkout), and there wasn’t a bell to let someone know I was waiting. Eventually someone came to assist, but it just felt unusual since I’m used to always having staff readily available. 2. The light and the vent on the restroom are on the same switch, so whenever the light was on, the vent noise was running too, which I didn’t particularly like.

We were placed at the end of the hall next to the employee room. It was very noisy. Workmen started sawing and using electric tools at 7:30 am each day. The room smelled of mold, the carpet was wet; and the bathroom floor was filthy. I dropped a cup of water and when I wiped it up the towel was black from dirt on the floor. The rate you gave us was way too much for the room we got. I also had to cancel one room because one of my friends had a death in her family and I was not offered any money back. If this is how you conduct business, I’ll not use you again.
