The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

  The toilet was too low to the floor and sluggish to flush. Need higher profile toilets with slow closing lid. The mattress pad needs replacing. Mattress needs refreshing or sanitizing as it smells of dirty bodies. The eggs were not as good as before. Before they were nice omelettes. 🙁

  We were very disappointed with our stay. They have rooms for four people but no room for suitcases. It's completely uncomfortable. There's no privacy with the bathroom since it doesn't shut all the way and you can easily see through. I tried getting maybe another room or larger rooms but there was nothing. The cost is very high versus what we get. I stayed in a similar hotel (Hotel Riu Plaza Manhattan Times Square) last year, and it was much better. There's not even a place to hang towels: As they don't change them everyday, this is not very practical (Out of 4 people, only place to hang one). The elevator system is absolutely horrible. It takes so long in the mornings to get down (Over 40 minutes). Usually you just have to use the stairs and hope that you're not at a high floor: We were on the 15th floor. The breakfast are very bad because it is way too crowded, no place to sit and just chaotic. The customer service is not wonderful. We had many complaints and they weren't willing to do anything about it. They charge you for luggage storage and also for getting packages. The air conditioning didn’t work (I heard several others complain about this): Their resolution was to give us a cheap fan. This is in the middle of the hot summer. All in all, the stay was one of the worst in our many experiences.

  well,it’s a lot of fun with everything they have to offer , I just have a point of view about the swimming pools and lazy river which was alittle bit dirty this time ! never saw it dirty with weird stuff floating before! .. that’s the only thing I noticed I wish they would like check it as they used to before ph levels and such this whole stay never saw anyone come and check the waters ..
