- “So welcoming and comfortable from the minute you enter. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room, although on the small side was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

  We requested a late check-in. The host was great ( Chris) who made the check-in process seemless. The room was exceptionally clean. The king bed was very comfortable. It was a bit noisy from the interstate traffic. The breakfast was definitely a plus There was so much food to choose from. The food area was exceptionally clean a d the lady who was taking care of the food and area was very polite. She did a great job. Overall I would stay here again and would refer this hotel to others.

  It looks like a newly built but not inside. We have pet and they have carpeted room so you can smell both the dog's and deodorizer at the same time. Breakfast is a waste. Coffee is horrible . I can tell only few people came. No water bottle so my husband has to go out to buy one.

  The owner/manager was exceptionally courteous and accommodating. Important features included a secure door lock with a dead bolt latch, good bedside lamps, very comfortable bed, nice shower and good towels! Much more than I expected for the price.

  The hotel is well located being so close to Rocky Mountain National Park, two bakeries and a really nice restaurant. The beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful.

  Efforts to update it are cheap and overall it's pretty shabby. The bathroom is tiny and the sink is in the main bedroom. The pool was closed and the ice machine was broken during our two night stay. It's a tear- down, not worth additional renovations.
