    - “So welcoming and comfortable from the minute you enter. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room, although on the small side was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

      Overall beautiful hotel and great experience! The location is very magical and close to many popular attractions. The hotel itself is aged but quality and well kept, the pool is absolutely beautiful! It even has a bar and menus attached to the lounge chairs that offer both chairs and longe chairs with and without umbrellas. And a breathtaking waterfall in the middle on a little bridge that goes over the pool in the deepest part is both beautiful and makes for an awesome massage! Unfortunately, we came the week after Labor Day and all the neat extras like the ice cream shop and all of the area attractions like the waterparks are closed during the week, unsure if this is true before Labor Day?

      Many of the awesome hotel amenities are only open during certain times, like the ice cream shop and waterpark. Also we had a few incidents where we felt treated differently as we tried to leave the hotel after checking out, they were fixing the Doorway and it was hard to get out, my daughter and I were behind an older couple whom the door guy thanked and held the door for and ended up almost letting the door go in my face and not saying a word to myself or my daughter as we left after staying with y'all for 4 days.

      The main road is next to the hotel and is noisy in the morning and early evening. The lot next door is empty and not a great view.

      Floor was very dirty in room. My children's feet and socks were black after they walked around. The trash pick up was both mornings of our stay at 4:30 am and we were right beside the dumpster. One of the air conditioners didn't work well and the rooms got hot at night. Just a little disappointed for the amount paid
