I had a really good stay here as a solo traveler! The location is about 20min walk from the beach, but it feels safe and totally doable. There are also buses nearby and Uber is great here, so getting around was easy. The hostel does an amazing job with WhatsApp groups, which makes it super easy to meet people and join activities. They also organize lots of events, which is great if you’re traveling alone and want to connect. At the same time, they’re strict about quiet hours, so even though it’s a social place, you can definitely get good rest. They don’t offer breakfast, but they do have hot water, tea, coffee, and even yummy brownies in the mornings, which was very nice!

The room was not clean, I had to clean the entire bathroom, walls,doors, headboard, end tables (entry to room and bathroom) and the pillows had hair on them. i prepaid in order to get a discount for remote booking. Wish I did not because it was not worth it and it was still much more expensive than others that I visited while in California

No room service. So no fresh towels or emptying of the trash cans in the rooms. I Killed a roach in my room. Breakfast was barely a cut above a continental breakfast. I ate it the first day then found other places to eat. One of the Dog stations had overflowing trash cans the other trash can was empty, but and neither had poop pickup bags in the holders. The path/walk between the two dog stations that cut through the trees had trash that was never picked up. No room safes.

The facility looked and even smelled old on the inside. The toilet paper had no holder, the bed was hard, and while the breakfast tasted good, there was a small variety of fruits and juices.
