- “So welcoming and comfortable from the minute you enter. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room, although on the small side was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

  First off, We had a problem trying to hook up a trailer to our truck. The manager saw us and immediately he and his friend came over and got it hooked up for us. Super nice men! The rooms were great. My husband loved the huge bed. Breakfast was good too. Definitely recommend this place, especially if you have pets.

  Clean, good-sized room that was well-stocked with supplies. Very friendly staff and a decent continental breakfast with excellent coffee. Checking in and out was a breeze and it was a an overall good value for the money.

  We had somebody in the room next to us blasting their TV at full volume past midnight, which revealed teh thiness of the walls. A call to the front desk and they had somebody down quickly to ask the individual to turn the TV down, so the rest of teh night was quiet.

  Nothing is to be liked when your safety and belongings are at stake.

  The staff are thieves and reckless. While me and y husband were asleep, they (Accidently) rebooked our room to someone else, gave them a key, and had them entering our room while we were sleeping. Additional to that on our last night staying on the property the staff entered my room because they did not see me or my husband's vehicle on site and attempted to steal my belongings until the authorities were involved. If you care for your safety and belongings, do not boo with this property.

  Just wish the price was a little better. I wanted a room for us and 6 year old granddaughter and hoping for a standard double queen room but the only thing available was a king suite. The suite was beautiful and no complaints. It was worth the price too but just a bit pricey compared to what I really wanted to meet me needs

  It offers nothing other than being a nice hotel. It seems like it's for older people. There's no gym or restaurant on-site. Yes, they will take you to a restaurant which helps. And breakfast was disappointing 😞. I would not return.

  Rooms were decent size for a double queen beds. Arcade was fun for the kids loved how every game machine was working. Restaurant and food court were good.
