The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

      The location, cleanness, staff and the comfort all wonderful. I would definitely stay here again. Sadly I didn’t have the time to use the swimming pool or the gym.

      A microwave in the room would be a great addition. I wish I see the day when hotels in the USA start adding bidet pipes in the toilets. They are cheap and easy to attach and most importantly “cleaner”!

      The room and the breakfast were good. In addition, the maids were great.

      The front staff acted prejudice against me. I noticed they were much friendlier to others that to me. In addition, I asked for a room facing the river and I was told a lie that all rooms were sold out. Also, I had trouble getting coffee and in spite that the front staff knew this. The staff members persisted to chit chat loudly and rudely towards each other ignoring me. I am gravely disappointed by the rude staff and total lack of professionalism.

      It was very pretty and seemed to have been remodeled on the inside. It was very clean and the staff were very friendly and courteous. Beds were comfortable and there were a million pillows 😍 NO BED BUGS (putting this because I always look in the reviews for this kind of information 🫣)
