Beach access..Patio saved us! This property is beautiful please be clear about that just room #5 and #6 are in the basement and not properly disclosed so visitors have an idea what they will be staying in!! Also, some of these reviews are not for the Beach House because there was only the girl at the font desk that we ever saw??

From the start The Beach House at #2 Roussin St Old Orchard Beach Maine 04064 was extremely disappointing. We were celebrating our 50 wedding anniversary and due to a recent health issue decided to stay local. I carefully went over reviews and after careful consideration I picked the Beach House! The description showed misleading pictures as well as description. From the beginning girl at the front desk was indifferent. A guy was laying on the couch scrolling his phone. The view from that lobby was unbelievable. I was over the moon! She took us to suite #5 UGH..we were below sea level, the basement..A campy hodgepodge of furniture. I opened the blinds and to my horror was looking at 2 car tires! When looking out front right in front of my eyes were 8 legs dangling from patio chairs. The cigarette smoke was pouring in our windows. 0ur view was a wall if you stretched your neck and moved to the corner of the window you could see a slice of water. The fridge had built up ice in the freezer, the 2 ice cube trays were dirty. I had to clean the air conditioning filter. The clean filter light was on when we arrived. My husband and I are in our 70s we are not kids. We felt mislead and will never stay here again!!

rooms were clean. We enjoyed the view from our room and the location was perfect to go to cruise docks and nearby places. The pool was clean and the water temp was perfect for the evening swim.

Adding tooth brush and tooth paste would have been better. The receptionist who gave us our key cards was not super welcoming. She was not rude but did not put in efforts to make our checkin look friendly. But the other staff were very good.

This unit had several things that needed to be resolved. The bedroom ceiling light would not come on, the kitchen light over the table could not be turned off, the TV control didn't control the TV properly, the ice trays were cracked and only made a few ice cubes at a time, one air conditioner was not cooling properly, the curtain rod over the sliding glass door was about to fall down, and the whole unit needed a deep cleaning, had a couple light switches that we never figured out what they controlled. All the small stuff adds up. Needs some TLC.

The room we stayed in had a soggy carpet, almost like they cleaned it and didn't let it dry completely. This made the entire room smell musty, we had a hard time staying in the room, we only really slept. The bathroom sink had a very bad smell as well, almost like suffer. We assumed it might have been from the lake water, but the shower did not have the same smell. Probably would not recommend to friends.

The breakfast could have been better, my first room the balcony door didn't lock, 2 lamps didn't work and then the door to the room wouldn't lock we had to be moved for safety issues
