The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

  I stayed at Econo Lodge in Ardmore recently, and honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. For a budget-friendly hotel, it delivered more than I expected. The room was clean, the bed was really comfortable, and it was surprisingly quiet at night considering it's close to the highway. What stood out most to me was the staff — super friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out. You can tell they genuinely care about the guests. I also appreciated the little things like free parking, good water pressure in the shower, and the fact that everything in the room worked (which isn’t always the case in cheaper places). It's not a luxury hotel by any means, but if you're just looking for a simple, clean, and comfortable place to stay without breaking the bank, this is a solid choice. I’d definitely stay here again if I’m passing through Ardmore.

  The room was small, cramped, and noisy. The hotel has interior rooms and exterior rooms, we were in an exterior room, which was difficult to get to with luggage and very noisy. The fitness room ceiling leaked on us while trying to use the equipment. The toilet in the room was plugged up when we arrived but was quicker fixed but the staff. The sliding bathroom door was hard to close. It would get stuck while trying to slide it open or closed. We will not stay here again. Tried it and did not like it.

  The room was dirty. The bathtub had black buildup, the mirror frame in the bathroom was cracked and had black mold on it. And perhaps worst of all, some of the bedding (underneath the sheets) had visible dirt and spotting. The staff were friendly but nobody wanted to take accountability for anything. We had to ask multiple people to replenish our coffee cups and k-cup pods on the second day, with each person claiming that they would find the "appropriate person" to take care of it. The only reason to stay at this hotel is if you have a conference or meeting that is taking place there. If convenience isn't your primary reason for being there, I'd stay somewhere else.
