It was a nice building and the property was very clean. The staff were very very nice.
The property was extremely noisy. From the AC in the room to the clubs you could hear the music until 4am. It seems the moxy is trying to be some sort of social hub where they play club like music in the lobby during the weekend and have multiple clubs. It’s a hotel in the end and this can be disruptive to guests

The attendant was pleasant and professional. The location was convenient to my event.
Unfortunately, my stay was marred by several issues that left me uncomfortable and disappointed. Upon entering my room, I noticed a strong smell of smoke, which lingered throughout my stay. In addition, the cleanliness of the room was below acceptable standards. The carpet appeared dirty and stained, the door had visible marks, and the toilet was not clean. These factors made it difficult to relax and enjoy my stay. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this hotel to others. I hope that management will address these cleanliness issues and consider implementing stricter non-smoking policies for the comfort of future guests. Thank you for taking the time to consider my feedback.

“So welcoming and comfortable from the minute you enter. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room, although on the small side was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

“I really enjoyed my stay. The cottages are new, it's clear they were built recently. They are within walking distance of the hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, the plumbing is high-quality, and the beds are comfortable. It's also very nice that there are automatic blinds on the windows, so you can sleep in complete darkness in the morning. Additionally, each cottage has a shared kitchen.”
